The uninstall will take you back to IE 10 and once this has been accomplished, go to Windows Update and when it says that an update to 11 is available, select it and click "Hide Update". Since going back corrected your problem you can do another restore but it might be better to go to Windows Update, Update History, click on Installed Updates and there it will tell you that you can uninstall the update by clicking on the update and then click uninstall. My experience is that problems with Google predates IE 11 but upgrading did in fact make the problem worse for me and thus my suggestion to go back to IE 10.
