You can then use the setstage command to mark the stages complete as needed in order to fix the bug. User Info: beomri This will set all stages of that quest to 0. Certain quests may be contrary to the nature of your character, and you would just as soon not have that quest recorded in your journal. You'll need to keep your eyes and ears open and figure it out on your own (quest markers that appear after you've started the quest are unchanged and will still show up once you've begun the quest). How do i force start a quest using console? i somehow failed the visit the museum at dawnguard quest (im not sure how) and i kinda wanted to do that. Be sure to reload a save game from before. Use it only as a last resort, and preferably focusing only on the quest itself (e.g. Finally, type in startquest (that string of characters) without the quotation marks or parentheses and it should start the quest I suggest not trying to force the engine to start the quest through using console commands, as this usually messes things up, especially commands that reset or skip content, and of those especially the larger-scale ones. In the results that come up, search for an entry that starts with QUEST or QST (I can't remember exactly what it'll look like) and has Pit Dogs after a string of letters and numbers.
